CLASS SUSPENDED UNTIL AFTER THE 2012 ELECTION

I am focusing my efforts on the 2012 election this year.
We had fantastic study sessions in 2011 and I will be posting
the questions for you to continue as a self-study.

I don’t know about you, but it has been many years since I read the United States Constitution. In late 2010 I learned that my teenage son has never been required to read the Declaration of Independence or the United States Constitution in school.

I want to make sure that all generations, and especially the younger generations, know and understand these documents to help our country get back to the wonderful principles on which our country once prospered.

This class is appropriate for ages 12 and up. Teenagers and young adults are encouraged to attend so they may learn about the importance of the constitution when it comes to voting for our country’s leaders.

REQUIRED READING MATERIALS
Beginning in January 2012, we will focus our discussions on
The 5000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen
At times, I will pull in information from
The Making of America by W. Cleon Skousen
but there will not be any assigned reading from this book.
The study questions will still have questions from this book, though.
Both books are available to purchase at the study group. The 5000 Year Leap is only $10 and The Making of America is only $25.

There are 31 sessions included in the study group materials. Since this group only meets once per month, we are reading two sessions at a time to ensure we complete the materials before election season 2012.

  Yes, you can start anytime. Our next class is at November 1st at 6:30pm. I do hope you can make it. Oh, and yes, I will have the books available to purchase the night of the class.
